Choosing The Best Golf Vacation Package

Monday, June 22nd, 2009

Have you been given the job of planning a golf vacation for your company?  There are many corporate packages available online or through your local travel agent.  They offer discount golf vacations to international golf locations and destinations within the U.S.

If you own a small or large company you may be considering a corporate golf travel package for you and your top employees.

A corporate golf travel package could include some of the following:

  • Accommodations – eight nights at quality hotels with twin or double occupancy
  • Golf – Greens fees and guaranteed tee times for 7 rounds
  • Rental Car – Full sized rental van with unlimited mileage from Hertz
  • Extra Services – Vouchers for accommodations and golf, maps, directions to various golf courses in the area.

A golf travel package can be reserved for under $2000 per person and possibly as little as $180.  Of course, the golf travel package costs are determined by the number of people going, the time of year, number of nights lodging, meals and location.  These prices would not include travel costs.

Plan a golf travel package that is unique for your corporate group.  With all the locations to choose from this would be easy.  You name the location and I can guarantee there is a golf resort nearby.

Plan a trip for your group to Puerta Vallarta and golf for just $58 per round per person, including a shared cart, range balls, taxes, and a 15% discount at course restaurants and on rental clubs.

Make a golf travel package reservation in England and enjoy and itinerary that could include arriving in Manchester and being met and greeted by your car and driver and delivered to Southport.  If you are not feeling too jet lagged you could play a round of golf.  Your second day you would play a round or two at the Royal Liverpool. On day three you would play at Formby and so on.

The cost of your discount golf vacation would vary of course depending on the dates but could include: Six nights first class accommodations, car & driver or rental van, full English breakfast daily, lunches at all three Royals as well as guaranteed tee times & paid green fees, and all the services the local resort offers.

You have the option to plan your golf travel package around one of the golf championships such as the Masters Tournament at Augusta, or the U.S. Open and watching the pros in action.

You could save a little money by planning your golf travel package during the off season.  As is true with anything else, it is always important to plan ahead to insure your golf travel package will be the best planned and most enjoyable trip you have ever taken.

Conquer Florence Italy

Monday, June 22nd, 2009

Florence Italy accommodation as hotel and cottage are concerned, let your imagination go from luxuriously furnished 5 star hostels either in the heart of the town or smaller city accommodations, hidden away in the green hued country. From palaces to castles beautifully decorated and allowances or guesthouses owned by friendly area folk. These all year round lodgings have a wide price range but you can guaranteed that good bargains are to be found in the off season. Florence welcomes everybody to be comfortable and caters to everyone’s budget.

Wealth and Comfort in Florence Italy

The Savoy Hotel is a favourite for those wishing to fulfil a desire for luxury sleeping, not forgetting the shopping gallery and wonderful cuisine at the cafe. The Hotel II Guelfo Bianco on the Thru Cavour right close to the San Marco Square has antique art treasures and original paintings and glorious commodities. Or maybe a stay at the Grand Hotel Baglioni with its sweeping gray stone stairway so common of many Florentine monuments and wooden beams decorating the ceiling all which give you that special feeling of peace and relax.

Florence town should be visited in an extended period of time and if this isn’t feasible, then short visits are ideal to take in all the museums. And for me, one of the finest strategies to try that is by staying in a tiny city cottage near Florence and with your Florence vehicle rental, enjoy tiny joints into the town. One of the cutest medieval cities nearby is San Gimignano, situated in the triangle of Siena, Florence and Volterra. San Gimignano is definitely famous for its thirteen remaining towers of the first seventy-two which once existed. Here, you can have sweet dreams sleeping in a mansion from the 14th century and have breakfast in a precious patio. Or in a rustic house with high ceilings and worked iron beds.

Praise Good Italian Cooking

At a number of these farmhouses there are cookery classes and it is here where I learned to cook Stracotto or ‘Pot Roast’. This is a very popular weekend Sunday meal in Italy as well as in Great Britain and North America. The Italians serve it over a tasty noodles bed of pasta enriched with the Chianti wine sauce where the others serve it with potatoes. Here goes……

Stracotto (serves 4-6 persons)

- 3 to four lbs. Top round meat

- 4 thinly sliced garlic cloves

- three medium thinly cut carrots

- three medium diced onions

- rosemary leaves

- two cut up celery stalks

- two cups water

- 1 lb. ripe tomatoes ( peel, seed and cut them )

- one 4th cup olive oil

- 1 and a half cup Chianti or dry red wine

- one tbsp. Softened butter

- one tbsp. Flour

- salt as you like

- 1 lb. pasta of your choice

Roll and tie up meat and then make little holes to put the garlic into.

In a pan, warm the oil and slowly cook the carrots, onions and celery till soft and add in the rosemary. Push these veggies to the side and put the beef roll in the middle and brown on all sides at the same time as you are sauting the veggies. Add in the tomatoes and when they’re getting soft, add the wine. Boil until the wine liquid has been consumed to about one half cup and add 1 and a half cup of water and let simmer for approximately one hour more. Separate the beef and vegetables from the broth and let the beef cool. With remaining half cup of water mix the flour and the softened butter in with the broth and cook, constantly stirring it for three mins. Cut beef and put the pasta and the sauce in the middle of the plate and 2 or three meat slices to one side and crown with some more sauce if required. Bon appetite!

This is just one of the Florence Italy recipes that I learned. Stay tuned for more!.

Do you think you would take your children to Barbados? Or would you go alone?

Monday, June 22nd, 2009

Do you want to go on your Caribbean holidays with your children, or is it a place for you to get away?

When you think of the Caribbean during the day, you think of cool sandy white beaches where you can enjoy some silence. When the sun sets, these holidays become a clubbing frenzy, and bars and clubs open up for business. So why would you take your kids here with you?

Barbados holidays were where you could go and party at night and chill out during the day. The family however does have many family activities designed for all to have fun. The submarine trips by Atlantis Submarines are fun for you and your kids, and the beach provides fun for everybody.

The question is do you want to take your children out there so you can have fun together, or do you go on your own to have fun. There will most probably be a point where you want to go and have a night out alone as a couple, or just to have a one night holiday yourself. Will you have a good time if you have some kids shouting and making loads of noise?

Well now it can work, in Barbados you can also get a baby-sitter with your hotel.  With the baby-sitter being from the hotel you wont have to worry so much. This means that you can enjoy a fun filled day with kids, taking them on various adventures and in the evening you can go and have fun yourself? You will probably only need one or two nights to yourself and the rest you can spend as the whole family.

So you can take your children with you even if you do want a bit of alone time. St Lucia holidays also provide activities for all to take part in. When you take a trip with the kids it is important to remember that it is a holiday for all of you to enjoy.

It’s not selfish to want to go and enjoy yourself on holiday. These new resorts allow us to take our children to all the destinations around the world where we can feel confident they will have fun too.
