Always be prompt. Don’t be the one to reach the field later than the kids. Well in fact, grace the filed with your presence when kids reach. This will also give you some time to rehearse the drills or arrange for things.
2. When the coaches are instructing before the kids soccer drills, it is normal for them to take a long time. Have you ever considered how bad that can be? Understand that kids come to play soccer, not to hear your long lectures. Always speak for less amount of time. These sessions should be used to boost the confidence of the kids as well as motivate them.
It is also important not to disturb them in between the sessions. If the kids do anything incorrectly, make a note of it and share it afterwards. Also, observe the kids from outside when they are playing.
3. Some coaches use harsh and offensive language with the kids. In soccer drills for youth, both the characters can prove disastrous. It is never a good idea to show your emotions on the field. It is imperative that the kids will make mistakes. Always remember that they are young. You should not take it seriously and get offensive with the players.
If you do, understand that you not only make the kids lose interest in the sport but also invite disciplinary action. Soccer is played in the mind more than from the body. Make the kids realize this and you would have motivated them.
