My Grenada holiday was absolutely stunning!

I had enough of constantly working, it was time for me to do something for myself and go on a nice holiday somewhere. I had been to St Lucia on holiday a few years ago and had a great time, but decided that a new destination would be an enjoyable experience as well. After being to St Lucia i had already made my mind up that i wanted to go back to the Caribbean. I decided to have a little read about this island called Grenada, and i fell in love.

I hadn’t heard much about Grenada holidays, but I was still looking forward to it. I landed in Maurice Bishop International Airport and was greeted with some nutmeg and ginger. Interestingly this country had also got another name “Spice Isle”. This inspired me to go and check out some of the crop fields and farms. Afterwards i headed off to my luxurious hotel. The hotel i was going to be sleeping in was the Calabash Hotel, and it was unbelievably gorgeous. The swimming pool is right next to the clear blue ocean, providing a great view. The tourist industry is Grenada’s biggest money spinner and because of this they almost immediately treat their guests like they were kings or queens, I was pampered every day that I was there.

I headed out to one of the Chocolate factories; I just had to visit one. The tour around the factory was extremely cheap, and i was even given the chance to make some chocolate myself. The Calabash hotel also offers a variety of activities, one of which is the scuba diving centre. I definitely wasn’t going to be missing out on this, it was a truly brilliant activity to do in the Caribbean. We explored a small part of the ocean, I saw many different types of fish, I can’t remember their names, but I can remember the colours, oranges and blues everywhere.

This was a great holiday and if anyone is considering a holiday to the Caribbean, then try either St Lucia holidays or Grenada holidays. If you don’t fancy something like this, the only other one I can recommend is Egypt holidays.
