Going Abroad Will Save You Money

Friday, September 4th, 2009

As the summer holidays become closer and closer people are looking at saving their pennies, so most families have decided not to go away for the year. But this could be an absolutley huge mistake.

I know that we are in the midst of one of the biggest economic downturns that we have experienced for a long time. People have begun to panic, I mean all over the media they have been saying that the pound has dropped its strength and the currency is no longer as effective as it once was.

But if you are considering staying at home this year with the kids, then you may want to think again. By booking an all inclusive holiday you will be able to get away for two weeks for around 1k, and this basically includes all your food and drink.

Now consider staying at home, each day you would have to go and get shopping and feed the kids, as well as this you would have to try and entertain everyone by taking them out on a daily basis. You are going to spend almost one thousand a week to keep the children happy. You could literally end up spending thousands in two weeks.

By getting away you are going to spend a little less money, but from it all you are going to become much less stressed, unwind and relax. The kids will also be able to play around the pool all day and eat and drink as much as they like without you having to worry about spending a single penny. So if you haven't already booked then maybe try getting a last minute deal.

Holidays Abroad are Still in Downfall

Friday, June 26th, 2009

As the whole world is aware, we are in one of the biggest credit crunch's that we have seen for a vast amount of time and the worst hit sector has been travel and things do not look like they will be getting better anytime soon.

A vast amount of people are still booking their breaks in the UK, which leads them to abandon their overseas destinations which could result in a huge amount of cheap holidays. People are cutting back a huge amount, because they know that the pound has become very weak compared to other currencies.

But things are actually not looking too bad as bookings have risen in countries such Turkey because of the all inclusive aspect. On another occasion self catering accommodation is still down a huge amount, so you could potentially look at grabbing a late deal bargain.

Again things are not all bad, because huge amounts of money are being pumped back into the UK economy, with caravan and UK family holidays being booked up in the dozen. Some places are even over booked.

Although costs are still currently minimal for late overseas destination bookings, authorities warn that "The consumer that books late is taking a gamble that flight prices to the Western Med will remain low but there is a risk that these seat prices will sky rocket in June.”

So if you are actually looking to take a break this summer time then I would look at booking it soon as prices could potentially rise in an instant.

Going Abroad is Cheaper This Year

Thursday, June 4th, 2009

We all know that the financial downturn is in full motion and with that comes unemployment and bank accounts going into negative. People are not spending as much as they used to simply because they do not have it. So a lot of people have abandoned their holidays overseas because they believe that staying in the UK will be a lot cheaper. But is this really the truth?

Although the sterling is simply not as strong as it once used you be going to foreign location can still be a very viable option and in some ways it can work out a lot cheaper then staying in the UK for your vacation. The reason behind this is as follows:

People abroad have for a long time been increasing their prices year after year because they knew that the tourists had to pay for it. In some ways hotels abroad got a bit greedy and thought they could get away with charging a fortune and in all honesty they literally could. But now that the economic downturn is in place people are thinking that overseas destinations will literally cost too much, but that is not the case at all due to countries beginning to get worried and lower their prices.

So going away to a foreign destination would be a lot cheaper then it used to be a few years ago. I recommend getting an all inclusive package so once you get there you do not have to worry about paying out any more money.
