Have You Been On Vacaiton In Barbados?

Thursday, June 24th, 2010

A Barbados vacation on this beautiful Caribbean isle comes highly recommended, and there is plenty for the tourist to see and do.

Located to the north east of the South American continent, Barbados offers travelers a combination of unique culture, beautiful ocean and plenty of watersports. Barbados is made up of 11 parishes with Christ Church, St.Michael and St.James home to most of the tourists attractions, accommodations and beach activities. Where is the island of Barbados found?

Money in Barbados is known as the Barbadian Dollar and worth about 1/2 that of the US Dollar. This currency is widelly used and accepted on the island. Bridgetown is the island’s capital and is a haven for duty-free shopping, and this stately and beautiful colonial city accommodates many cruise ships every week. When visiting capital you will witness one of the oldest synagogues and a historic Parliament Building. You will also find the George Washington House and Garrison Savannah.

The city of Bridgetown should not be confused with the area of the same name, and “Bridgetown” is therefore also one of the five regions that the island is divided into. No Barbados vacation would be complete without a visit to the capital, however, and it is recommended that tourists make the city their home base while they tour the island. The centre of the island is much more nature filled with lush, green vegetation and offers attractions such as the Wildlife Reserve and Harrison’s Cave.

The island’s East Coast abuts the Atlantic Ocean and offers visitors several world renowned watersports sites. Those wishing to dare the island’s wild side should spend time at the small resort of Bathsheba, which is a windsurfing and surfing paradise. Bathsheba’s waves are not recommended for the beginner, however, as they offer extremely exhilarating – and often dangerous – rides. The West Coast offers visitors the somewhat gentler Caribbean Sea as well as stunning travel destinations like the town of Fustic, known for its exquisite birdlife and its Fustic wine, and Holetown, the oldest settlement on the island which lures visitors with its upscale hotels and restaurants.

The Sir Grantley Adams International Airport is located in the island’s southern region and is a popular destination for flights from the USA, Canada and the UK. You can also find championship golf courses, high-end vacation rental accommodations and a well networked bus route. Places to visit in the south include the Graeme Hall Nature Reserve and the vibrant St Lawrence Gap neighborhood.

Indulging in a Barbados vacation is the perfect way to forget the disappointments and frustrations of everyday life, and everyone should treat themselves to this type of first-rate getaway once every couple of years.

Indulging in a Spa holiday alone!

Wednesday, April 21st, 2010

Now it is up to you to decide what you want to do this year, go on holiday or not, but the harder decision to make is if you should go alone? Although almost all of you may be disagreeing with me, you don’t know until you have tried it. However I implore you to think for a moment about what a spa holiday alone would be like. There is one main factor in a Spa holiday, helping you to relax. Spending all your time together as a couple can become a little tense in the atmosphere, so some time apart is healthy for your relationship.

This gives you the opportunity to relax as best you can, and to be looked after by others for a change. All of you that have been a part of a Spa holiday know that this is a powerful experience. When someone gets too close to you it can get quite annoying when you are trying to relax. So when a partner comes on one of these holidays with you it can become quite difficult for you to relax to your full extent.

There are however some that believe their partner being with them on a holiday like this can actually increase the chance of being relaxed and will also help them to reach a higher level of tranquillity. Wait a moment, I am not going to get sordid and raunchy on you, it is quite simply being in the same vicinity as each other. The presence of the one that you are about can be very soothing, and it has been proven that this can help you to relax more because the fact that they are with you allows you to feel safe and protected.

Spa holidays are big across the world, with some of the most popular locations being Caribbean spa holidays and Thailand Spa holidays.

Whats the reasons behind going on holiday?

Friday, January 1st, 2010

People across my county found this question quite hard to answer. Or at least people struggle to find the right answer. The other answer, that is somewhat annoying is the one that goes something like “Because we wanted to”! So there is in short, no real actual reason for anybody going on holiday if this is the case. Now everyone has a reason, they just don’t really want to tell us?

I came across some people who just wanted the time off work, and mumbled incessantly. This answer does appeal to me, as it means people have a general idea of what they want to do. I think that if you feel this way, that your job is that bad you really desperately need the time off, then this job isn’t for you!

However, we can just get away from our jobs whenever we want, and most of us do every weekend, so what’s the problem? Now I then asked others why they wanted to go and they said (in the extreme minority) that they wanted to meet new cultures. This was the answer I was looking for, the one where people had actually set their mind to something and really thought about it. This makes sense, of course you would like to visit a new country, to see how things work.

What really riled me was the answer that some people gave that read like this; “There isn’t much else around for us to do”! To these people I had to hold back some lecturing and general anger. What are you talking about, there is nothing better to do, sorry you have lost me! This is not good for my Brain, I don’t want to here this, once again another answer that doesn’t actually answer anything.

However, do we all have to have a REASON to go on holiday? No of course you don’t, it’s your money, and you deserve to spend it how you see fit. Make sure that you don’t get told something different.

For Caribbean holidays, Maldives holidays, Sri Lanka holidays, maybe you should visit a tour operator!

Egypt holds children in hospital for fear of Swine Flu!

Tuesday, December 22nd, 2009

The world is still being attacked by Swine Flu. It was coming to that point where, we all thought that the Swine Flu epidemic was starting to end. We are now aware that Swine Flu has travelled almost the entire Globe now. Swine Flu is has been the planets enemy for a while now, but what are the symptoms that we can “really” expect to experience?

Swine Flu is something that can be distinguished relatively easily from the “normal” strain of Flu. It is often described as something that a normal Flu could never make you feel like. Flu travels through the Human body at a slower rate, and doesn’t get to its worse state for a couple of days. Compared to other Viruses, Swine Flu is a fast acter, it damages the body as quikcly as possible. The Symptoms that you get with Swine Flu are very much the same as those that you get from the Common Flu, such as Back aches and muscle ache, Nausea. Some symptoms are much much worse than normal, they are described by doctors and people who have had the virus, to be more than 10 times as bad as normal Flu.

Tourism is once again being dealt a blow due to the Swine Flu Virus. Although the school half term time is supposed to be a time for families to go on holiday, it is proving to be particularly nasty for some that headed to Egypt, guards suspected they might have Swine Flu. The place these people were taken to has been slammed, the conditions were horrible. After their body heats were monitored as above normal in the airport at Sharm El Sheikh, they were rushed to a hospital with other Brit families. This has proved that the Swine Flu virus on’t be going away quietly, and now with Premiership football players being diagnosed with the virus, it shows it’s still spreading.

Egypt holidays have received a bit of a crash recently; Caribbean holidays including St Lucia holidays have been very successful through the Swine Flu period.
