Another year is here and Im already feeling pressured by the family to look at going on holiday again, if I had my way wed all stay at home for a week or 2 and not go anywhere, but I am a bit of a grouch and Id rather not have to hang around in airports for hours on end and cram myself into a flying sardine can with 300 other people heading off on their all inclusive holidays or the other deals that are available early on in the year. I’m usually fairly organised and at least have some idea of where I want to go in the summer but this year I’m at a loss, nowhere seems to be calling out to me and there is so much going on in the world that maybe I should be looking to take a safer option this year.
So while looking at safer options to my usual risky choices Ive been considering some holidays that are completely different to what Ive done in the past, holidays like cruises have never appealed to me in the past as theyre are mainly aimed at the 50+ market, however luxury cruises ffer what is essentially a floating 5 star hotel calling at many different places as part of the trip. If you keep your finger on the pulse of the cruise industry then you would definitely know about Disneys new cruise ship the Disney Dream which was launched at the beginning of the year, it looks amazing and as an avid Disney fan when I was child its very tempting, however I dont have kids and I may feel a bit odd.
One of the other places Ive never considered going on holiday to before is North America, America has so many amazing sights and some pretty astonishing country side in its locker and the thought of seeing some of the amazing places such as the Grand Canyon really does tick my boxes, also there are many cruises starting and finishing in America so there is the scope to combine both while booking a America holidays. Im still undecided as to where Ill do on my next holiday but Im now looking at places I would never have considered in the past and Im looking forward to where itll take me.
