Surely holiday travels are damaging the environment!

Friday, December 11th, 2009

There is growing concern about the environment, but how concerned are we really? People are burning fuel all across the world, and all we do is create more unique ways to help damage the planet. We take something like a boat and turn it into a cruise ship, we are no longer people that live for necessity we live for luxury.

So if we are that concerned about the environment, what will we be able to do about holidays? Are we just going to keep on having a go at the world, saying we need to do something about this, yet still jump on a jumbo jet for a holiday to the Caribbean? How can we just let talks about saving the world go on, and back everything that is said, and then take off to a luxury location via one of the most destructive of all transportation techniques, the Cruise ship.

However how can we be sure that the world is really in that much trouble? A lot of this is all speculation, backed up by only minor evidence. Although this evidence does have some backing, it is difficult to suggest an actual date at when the world will be irreversibly damaged. Are the holidays there for us? In truth, the damage being caused by flights isn’t in the great scheme of things all that bad, it is where fuel is being burnt in extreme amounts.

What the odds are on there being a ban on going on holiday are, I don’t know, but I would imagine it is something like one million to one. People won’t ever be stopped from enjoying themselves, because with everything else that we have to put up with, when the chance for a holiday comes around, we need to snap it up as quickly as we possibly can. Cruise ships however, they can be banned immediately in my eyes, these contraptions are pure evil, great for destroying the planet and spreading disease to kill people, as far as i am concerned get rid of them.

There could be a rush for holidays in the next decade, where would you go, Cuba holidays, Egypt holidays or Maldives holidays?

Go on holiday in the past!

Cuba is a must to visit, no matter what. This is one of the most amazing locations across the world. Many consider this large island in the Caribbean a Wonder of the world, frozen in time.

Cuba is stuck in the late 60’s, early 70’s. The oldest of the cars on this island are still being used today as well. Although we don’t know everything about this country, the holidays are becoming very popular. Cuba holidays offer many people all kinds of activities and new experiences. The bars and restaurants are unique and very friendly, and the flamenco dancing is original and good fun. Cuba is a place to go back in time and visit the world of yesterday. Arts and crafts are in utter abundance here, so if you like history and art then i recommend it. There is so much to see and do.

Now for the holiday maker who likes a bit of sea sun and sand, well you have come to the right place. You can be sure to get plenty of this on your Cuba holiday. The beaches are truly stunning, although most are owned by surrounding hotels. Some of the hotels are funny about people who don’t have a room their to visit their beaches, so make sure that you have a room at one of the beach hotels. The Accommodation in all of these hotels is an astonishing site to behold. You can find the rooms are well kept, the service is very good and the staff are lovely. I think a lot of people get the impression that Cuba is a volatile place; the simple truth is that because we don’t have much press coverage in over here, we are drawn into thinking of it in certain ways.

If you are considering a holiday this year then give Cuba a go, the only other holidays I would recommend are Egypt holidays, this is because they still maintain a very powerful and interesting history.

Is Cuba just famous for it’s cigars or it’s holidays too?

Should Cuba just be world known for it’s cigars?

The Cohiba is one of the world’s most expensive cigar brands and has many different types, with prices ranging from 30 pounds to 250 pounds per cigar. All around the world people know Cuba for it’s cigar making skills.

However Cuba isn’t just about the cigars that they make this quaint yet booming island has many other cultural gifts to offer us. This island has produced many famaous figures ranging from politicians to actors such as; Fidel Castro and Eva Mendez. Even places like Castillo de Farnes, where Che Guevara and Castro toasted the success of the revolution, these seem to go unnoticed.

Cuba holidays offer us a new niche of tourism. Although we are trying to get away from the fact that Cuba is known for its Cigars, there is a couple of places you can go and roll your own. Places like the Real Fabrica de Tabaco’s Partuga’s in Havana give you the opportunity to make and roll your own cigar, there are other places in Cuba that help you do this as well. Cuba is now becoming one of the main places to go on holiday because the tourism industry is booming, this makes tourism one of Cuba’s biggest money spinners.

The Cuba hotels are getting more and more modern every day. Although they do have some national treasures, the Nacional Hotel has starred in many gangster films with Frank Sinatra and is one of the oldest hotels on the island. It still however has beautiful flooring and is rated 5 stars, with people like Winston Churchill being one of the many famous figures to have stayed there.

Now that they have ferries from Cuba to Jamaica you can enjoy weekend Jamaica holidays as well. Cuba is very famous for it’s cigars, but it does provide the world with a range of cultural diversity and an immense history to boot.
