Whats the reasons behind going on holiday?

Friday, January 1st, 2010

People across my county found this question quite hard to answer. Or at least people struggle to find the right answer. The other answer, that is somewhat annoying is the one that goes something like “Because we wanted to”! So there is in short, no real actual reason for anybody going on holiday if this is the case. Now everyone has a reason, they just don’t really want to tell us?

I came across some people who just wanted the time off work, and mumbled incessantly. This answer does appeal to me, as it means people have a general idea of what they want to do. I think that if you feel this way, that your job is that bad you really desperately need the time off, then this job isn’t for you!

However, we can just get away from our jobs whenever we want, and most of us do every weekend, so what’s the problem? Now I then asked others why they wanted to go and they said (in the extreme minority) that they wanted to meet new cultures. This was the answer I was looking for, the one where people had actually set their mind to something and really thought about it. This makes sense, of course you would like to visit a new country, to see how things work.

What really riled me was the answer that some people gave that read like this; “There isn’t much else around for us to do”! To these people I had to hold back some lecturing and general anger. What are you talking about, there is nothing better to do, sorry you have lost me! This is not good for my Brain, I don’t want to here this, once again another answer that doesn’t actually answer anything.

However, do we all have to have a REASON to go on holiday? No of course you don’t, it’s your money, and you deserve to spend it how you see fit. Make sure that you don’t get told something different.

For Caribbean holidays, Maldives holidays, Sri Lanka holidays, maybe you should visit a tour operator!

The Top alcoholic drink in the world!

Monday, December 21st, 2009

It confuses me why people argue about which drinks are the most popular and the best. For the record, the alcoholic drink with the most sales in general is beer! So now that I have cleared up that the Beer is the king of all the alcoholic drinks, why don’t we all just sit down and look at what the popular drinks are in different countries, I have picked some randoms. So let’s start somewhere random then move onto some larger places:

Cuba is the place of cocktails. The Cuban cocktail country, is ready to divulge to you one of its most amazing drinks, that we all love called the Cuba Libre. Cuba Libre, this is a very easy and quick drink to make up, with only three ingredients, mainly Rum and coke, with a slice of lime. People really do seem to like this simple and easy to prepare drink. Like the Cosmopolitan, the Mojito is also a great favourite for tourists.

And now to stop at Egypt. Slightly larger than Cuba and receives more tourists each year. Stella, this is Egypt’s biggest beer. Now I know what you’re thinking, and no it’s not the Artois version. This beer does have a decent 4.5%ABV which is when you think about it quite a high strength. It is actually owned by Heineken and is brewed in a brewery called Alaham Beverages.

Now we have America, the biggest of the lot. is there one that you have in mind? Probably not what you would presume, but the fastest selling beer is a Budweiser beer, but not Bud. It may come as a surprise, but it’s Bud Light. This is the alcoholic drink that is great for one and only one reason, that it doesn’t get you drunk very quickly. Although Bud the original is very close, it’s little brother is a bigger seller than itself in the States.

So are you seeking for Egypt holidays, Cuba holidays or how about something a little more unique like Maldives holidays, where you can build your own maybe more odd cocktail?

Desert cars!

Sunday, December 20th, 2009

Which of these cars do you believe to be the best suited to driving across the desert. There isn’t much competition when you have to really think about which cars are best designed for this environment. I will give you three categories of cars, best suited for these conditions, all you need to do is decide which of these is the best and which type, I will of course help out a bit.

The majestic Dune Buggy. Sounds pretty obvious really doesn’t it, and no there isn’t just one of these, there is a whole range of them. The majority being custom built, with 1-2 litre engines, anything bigger and things don’t work properly. Travelling fast is what makes the Dune Buggy a good choice for this sort of terrain. This is a small and malleable car, easy to fix and very fast and lightweight, it has a lot of endurance.

Here comes the SUV. The family aspect has really started to bring this car down, now it is more of a family car, no longer a good off road-er. So becuase of this family transformation, they have been messed up a little, but they are a 4×4 car, so they can probably still perform quite well. This car has one advantage that the Buggy is lacking, the fact it can carry a lot, and shields you from the sand. However the Dune Buggy still has more potential than the Dune Buggy, namely it’s speed and suspension.

This is the king, but our master has his flaws. The Monster Truck, without a doubt the best all terrain vehicle. When you consider that these cars are usually built at home, they are quite an awesome creation. These cars have a supremely unmatchable amount of power, and the suspension is great, being able to travel over harsh land. Watch that fuel gauge go down, from the moment you start the engine to the moment you travel 30 feet. This is the only bad point, you need to make sure you have plenty of fuel, which means you can’t go to fast.

So which of these is the best to vacate around on Egypt holidays, you may want use one for Maldives holidays, but only if it can float.
