Villa Rental Abroad…The Advantages

Wednesday, September 8th, 2010

Compared to staying in a hotel, staying in a villa has far more benefits, there is the aspect of cost (you save a lot more if you are out in numbers) whereas a hotel usually charges per room which for a party of 8 could essentially mean you are being charged for 4-8 different hotel rooms. Basically a holiday Villa Moraira is just like living at home, all the facilities are there; a kitchen for cooking, lounge area for relaxing, as well as being able to park outside your own doorstep.

You can appreciate your own privacy when renting a holiday villa, unlike a hotel room, so after a long day on the slopes, down the beach or out discovering the town you can talk amongst family and friends about your experience all under one roof..

By renting a Villa in Moraira you don’t have to worry about what time you arrive back at night or being locked out, as well as waking up to the cleaning attendant in your room first thing in the morning!

With so many holiday villa rental sites on the internet, such as Holiday Villas Moraira this provides each potential customer the opportunity to view each rental property and what facilities it has to offer, location and ask any questions on the property before checking availability. Also view previous visitor reviews.

With the money you can save by renting a villa you can afford those extra small luxuries the that come with a holiday. During my time in Spain I took back many great Spanish Villa images. Spanish villa images of my trips to Spain that have provided me with some great memories.

All in all, the main thing to remember is that you are going on vacation to have a good time, this is the whole point of the trip.

Private Villa And Apartment Holidays In Lanzarote

Saturday, August 7th, 2010

Lanzarote’s oldest holiday resort, Puerto del Carmen, was chosen for its exceptional weather and location. It is tucked into the eastern coastline, where a range of volcanoes at its back prevents the wind that comes off the Atlantic from cooling the temperature too much.

As a result, the numerous sandy beaches along its seven kilometre seafront offer ideal conditions for sunbathing, snorkeling and swimming. Whilst the recent improvements to the promenade make it a much more enjoyable place for pedestrians.

Over the last forty years, the town has developed from its humble beginnings as a small fishing village to become the resort it is today. So it is now home to some of the best self-catering Lanzarote accommodation to be found on the island. Travellers on a tight budget are well  catered for as there are plenty of Lanzarote accommodation to pick from.

With no shortage of holiday apartments in Lanzarote, Puerto del Carmen consists of numerous complexes that follow a low rise architectural model, with plenty of planting to soften the exteriors. The quiet streets of the town form a tranquil backdrop for holidaymakers.

Aside from the wide choice of Lanzarote accommodation available in Puerto del Carmen, the town itself has numerous attractions and activities to while away the time, including several sea based trips. In the immediate vicinity of the town there is also a new golf course and a tropical park that children love.

There is no shortage of restaurants throughout the town, with almost every type of cuisine represented from Thai to Irish. Perhaps the most atmospheric area for dining is the old harbour, where numerous establishments look out over the sea towards the southern tip of the island.

The central area of the town is the place to head for nightlife, with a good selection of bars and clubs, many of which do not open until the early hours of the morning. This is especially true of the music venues, which younger visitors may want to sample.

More Lanzarote accommodation.

Playa Blanca Holiday Villas For All Occassions

Monday, May 24th, 2010

Lanzarote in the Canary Islands boasts a number of very high quality holiday resorts.  But Playa Blanca leads the way when it comes to great weather – thanks to the fact that it is located right at the southern tip of the island.  Whilst also offering visitors a fantastic selection of breathtaking beaches to explore.  Making this the fastest growing resort on Lanzarote.

Tourist development only started in earnest in Playa Blanca during the 1990s and until then this really was little more than just a sleepy little fishing village.  From where visitors could hop on board ferries that cross the Bocaina Straits to the neighbouring island of Fuerteventura.  All that has changed now however – as the combination of great weather and beaches soon caught the eye of hotel and property developers.  Resulting in a rash of new building work during the 1990´s.

Visitors arriving by plane and viewing the resort from the air will note that Playa Blanca basically comprises three bays set within one much larger cove.  And tourist visitors today can now enjoy a relaxing stroll from one end of the resort to the other.  Thanks to the fact that a delightful promenade now runs the entire length of Playa Blanca from the Faro de Pechuguera lighthouse to the outer reaches of the beaches at Papagayo.

Villas in Playa Blanca have become increasingly popular every year with tourists and independent travellers seeking good value rental accommodation on the island. Especially during the winter months when the weather here is better than on the rest of the island. Many of the winter visitors tend to stay for longer periods or even the entire winter as well as short breaks.

Playa Blanca Holiday Villas also often offer better value for money than in other resorts on the island – thanks to the fact that there is such a large supply here for tourists to chose from.  And all come with private pools and plenty of added extras such as Jacuzzis and internet connections.

For guests who are able to tear themselves way from the pool the resort is home to some spectacular stretches of sand.  Such as Playa Dorada, Playa Flamingo and the small town beach of Playa Blanca – from which this destination takes its name.  And the breathtaking coves and bays of Papagayo – regarded as one of the best beaches in the Canaries – are just a fifteen minute stroll away.  There´s a great selection of restaurants for visitors and Playa Blanca is also ideally located for anyone keen to visit Lanzarote´s number one tourist attraction of the Timanfaya Volcano Park.  As this is just a fifteen minute drive.

What to sightsee in Cordoba Spain

Monday, November 23rd, 2009

Like the Seville area, the province of Cordoba is landlocked, though that shouldn’t be a reason for the more brave traveller to not visit either for both are engaging.  The area of Cordoba is split by the powerful Rio Guadalquivir on which lies the ancient city of Cordoba, set up by the Romans, though it flourished under the Moorish occupation and this is evident in the design found all over the city.

Built on a sharp bend of the stream which is crossed by the Roman bridge, the El Puente Romano, the town used to be a port.  When the Moors were replaced by the Christians, the town’s beauty was left untouched and the Christian cathedral was built in the mosque, the Mezquita.  The Mezquita goes back to the twelve century and symbolises the power of the Moorish Islamic influence on this area of Andalucia.  Built in 785AD by Abd al Rahman, the mosque has been added to over the generations by both Christian and Islamic religions as they each controlled this area.

At the centre of Cordoba is the old Jewish quarter where tiny has changed in centuries, narrow streets and garden squares, tapas bars and cafes, a perfect area to explore and relax in the Spanish way.  The bull fighting museum and the cool and refreshing fountains and gardens of the Alcazar de los Reyes Cristianos are definitely worth a visit both being open from Tues. to Sunday.

Move outside of the town into the area of Cordoba, and you’ll find it quite unoccupied, most of the population live in the town itself while the remainder are spread out in this large unexploited area.  Summers here are dry and hot, so that the best time of the year to go to is during the cooler spring and autumn months, where you may find towns that still hold on to their Spanish values, something that has just about all but disappeared from the Costas to the south.
