Getting out of the country is not an easy thing to do this summer thanks to many things getting disrupted, what are the reasons behind people actually really struggling when it comes to going away in the UK?
Strikes
The strikes of BA are not helping anyone who has booked with them at the moment and they are just annoying a lot of people rather than helping the staff within the business. it does not seem that the staff relations are going to improve any time in the near future. To make sure the flight is still leaving the airport I would ring ahead first, this way you will know for dure. The best thing to do is to just let them get on with it, make sure you realise this too.
Ash
The Icelandic ash cloud seems to have died down for the time being but there are still chances of it returning and its much bigger brother could go off at any moment too, bad times. Although the aviation authorities have allowed planes to fly a lot higher than they would normally (providing they prove to them they can) if the other volcano erupts it could still cause massive problems.
Staying In The UK
Although staying here in the UK is sometimes not the option that people want to take it can still be something well worthwhile doing and if you are stuck for places to go then why not look into spa breaks or even self catering Torquay.
There are not too many roads to drive down when it comes to a holiday here in the UK but there are still some opportunities out there.
So there you have it, you can take the risks if you want to but I would consider thinking about taking a holiday here in the UK too.
