Most people go travelling or on holiday to do something completely different to what they normally do. This is why beach holidays can be so popular because you will find beaches in Latin America like no other on this planet. Brazil and the Spanish speaking countries within the American continent make up Latin America.
It is not just sun bathing and getting a tan that you can do at the beach in fact there are many more activities for you to take part in. The activities involve sports like surfing and other fun things such as kayaking, scuba diving and many other fun activities.
Now you know there is a lot more you can do at the beach I have written a description of some of the best beaches you can find in Latin America.
If Central America sounds like your thing Costa Rica holidays have become very popular and Costa Rica is now the premier destination in Central America. Playa Tamarindo is a very long beach which is perfectly positioned for activities such as surfing. The waves can reach 12 feet tall as you get closer to the winter months and there are also many tours to keep you occupied.
If animals are your thing then aGalapagos holiday is the place for you. The Galapagos Islands have animals that can be seen nowhere else in the world.
Continuing with the beach theme though the Placencia in Belize is a wonderful 15 mile long beach. The region has many bird species and lots of plant life as well.
Whilst most of Latin America is safe to travel in you should be slightly more cautious than you would be in your home country. Some people like overseas home insurancealthough it is not required and purely depends on the individual.
